Climbing gym

The climbing gym is on a cliff facing south, at an elevation of about 1,600 meters above sea level. It is accessible with a short walk from the parking lot of the Rifugio Dolada (about 15 minutes).

The exposure and the elevation allow the climbing activity all year round. In winter, if the road is closed, you can reach the cliff on skis; in summer there is always a breeze on the area thanks to the thermal currents that allow the paragliders to take off nearby, while in the middle seasons it tends to be hot. All this, together with the presence of easy pitches suitable for beginners and long routes of mountaineering style, makes the area a unique case in the Belluno area. In addition, an area with 9 routes for medium-difficulty dry-tooling has been set up.

The Rifugio Dolada is usually open from April to the end of October, so it is the ideal base for climbers. For more detailed information, you can contact Mauro, the refuge manager (contact details HERE).
